It is important that after requesting a call out, that cleaing or removing evidence of the pest is not undertaken. It is crucial in the identification (and therefor the treatment) process, and intervention by the customer actually makes the job of detecting and identifying the insect more uncertain and may also compromise the efectiveness of the treatment.
Our Service is to attend your premises, inspect the
area that has been reported as being infected and treat the active habitat with the intention of controlling the pest. We
will always endeavor to catch the rodents (catching rodents in open
spaces is not viable), however should we not find
any active rodents in the house when we inspect, then mechanical traps/pads
will be baited and laid as a precaution.
The Cost of the Service is for treating a single domestic property (rooms
that have a made up floor, a normal entrance/exit doorway and where the
construction is finished),
including the immediate gardens and grounds, occupied by one family.
This cost or payment of this cost is not governed or dependent on how
many rodents the clients believes to be present, and the job will be
detailed on our confirmation. An additional fee will be charged if the premises is occupied by more than one family, additional treatments are needed, or if any treatments are required in outbuildings, stables or land where domestic pets or livestock are present. However in some situations, due to the safety of the livestock, treatments within these additional areas may not be appropriate and we reserve the right to refuse to treat them.
Inside House:
We use rat tubes to attract and poison the rats.
The suggestions concerning wasps in the home apply to
sheds, outbuilding, garages. and any other confined spaces etc.
If you
block all the holes and don't allow the wasps in, they cannot make a
nest.
Nest Treatments:
Our Service is to attend your premises, inspect the infected area and treat the active wasps
nest with the intention of eradicating/killing the wasps in the nest. This
may include removing the wasps nest, but in any event wasp insecticide
dust will be applied and a long term ( 3 - 4 weeks) residual insecticide
will be sprayed on the affected area to kill/deter any returning wasps.
If the wasps nest(s) is not visible or is/are not
accessible (e.g somewhere within a wall cavity, or inside a roller blind), we
will make our best guess as to the location and size of the nest(s), and attempt to treat/poison with chemicals only.
In the absence of accurate information about he nest, this is a
"best guess" approach and will
require monitoring and possibly re-application of the treatment/poison over a 3 day period,
and may result in further chargeable visits. If the nest is within a
roller blind we cannot help.
Wasps Roofs:
In the case of multiple Wasps nests in roofs, we do
not remove roof tiles or crawl around on your roof. We will charge an
appropriate amount based on the area of the roof treated. Again, more
than one treatment may be required.
Wasps Pools:
There are many reasons (including the condition of
your pool water) why wasps are attracted to
pools (especially the steps end). Treatment will be a call out to inspect and advise on
the most appropriate methods used to prevent/kill the wasps from around
the pool area..
If we inspect the area you identify but do not find an active wasps nest
(whether there is no active nest or the relevant insects are another species, such as bees),
we will not treat the area and you will still be charged.
The time taken to inspect the area is often longer than the time taken to treat a nest.
Our Guarantee: Should any wasp nest (i.e. treated and/or not removed) remain active. Then
for a period of up to 3 days after the treatment we will revisit the premises to treat that specific nest.
However, if on the return visit, we discover that the identified nest is a
different nest, in a different place to the one originally treated, or if the wasps (due to the size or numbers of wasps) have created a new entry/exit point in a different location you shall be charged for a separate treatment.
If you require us to treat more than one nest during the same visit,
treatment of the first nest shall be charged at full price and any others at
10 euros per nest.
Terms Specific to BedBugs and Fleas
Our Service is to attend your premises, inspect the relevant area(s)
and treat the active habitat (i.e. infected area) with the intention
of killing the reported pest.
Treatment:
The price of the Service is for call out and carrying out the service.
Subsequent visits may be necessary (as in the case of feral cats). If any additional treatments are
required, additional payments will be due.
The reason for this is that these pests are carried into the house by
people or pets and it is impossible for us
to monitor the movements of occupants, visitors, guests, or pets after
our treatments have been applied. Given that these are the primary reasons for bedbugs and fleas it
would be unreasonable to expect us to predict the success rate of any
treatment, allowing for these movement factors. Also there may
be eggs that have been laid and un-hatched at the time of the
visit.
In the event that the client is unsure or uncertain about future
occupants movements after the first visit, we will supply with our compliments a free
canister of bug spray should the client encounter a re-infestation and
wish to avoid a second call out charge.
1) We treat the reported infected area with instant kill insecticide spray.
2) We treat all fabrics with residual insecticide.
3) We treat skirting with insecticide dust
Before your agreed appointment time, we require you to carry out the
following preparatory work:
a. All areas to be treated to be cleared of bed linen, clothes or
personal belongings to give clear
access to all surfaces to be treated.
b. All bed linen, clothes etc to be quarantined or stored in sealed polythene bags ready to be
laundered.
c. Ensure that all pets have been treated for fleas etc
d. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, you must not use the areas treated for a minimum
of 4 hours after treatment.
YOU ALSO HEREBY AGREE AFTER THE TREATMENT, not to remove any poisons or tamper with
equipment/bait/poisons unless specifically advised to do so by us in
writing.
Terms Specific to Black Mould
Our Service is to attend your premises, inspect the relevant area(s)
and treat the active habitat (i.e. affected area) with the intention
of removing the mould. We are not damp specialists and do not treat
underlying damp issues. Black mould is a lifestyle problem, due to lack
of ventilation (i.e air movement) and high humidity. We will
always attempt to identify the reasons and advise the client.
We only treat walls and ceilings for black mould. (i.e. we do not
treat leather, fabrics or wood).
Before your agreed appointment time, we require you to carry out the
following preparatory work:
a. Ensure clear access to all areas that require to be treated.
b) Furniture, rugs, clothing, ornaments etc are moved well clear of
the area to be treated.
Terms Specific to Pine Caterpillars
The basic price to remove caterpillar nests is based on up to 10 nests
per tree. Between 11 and 20 nests per tree are charged at a higher
inclusive rate.
Once the work has been done and the client has inspected the tree then
payment is due. Should extra nests be found at this stage then these
are chargeable at 10 euros per nest found over the quoted limits.
If nest removal is not required, and just insecticide and remove
caterpillars is requested then this service is limited to killing and
removing the animals that are present.
Once the work has been done and the client has inspected the area then
payment is due.
If after the initial visit (whatever the time period) further nests/caterpillars
are found, then these will be treated as a new call out and be
chargeable at the appropriate rate.
We do not provide a Visit Report/Pest Guide for this type of pest, as
currently there is no effective way of preventing these insects.
Treatment:
Our Service is to attend your premises, inspect the area we consider relevant, and treat
with the appropriate poison with the intention of killing the
reported pest. We do not call out again to re-administer poison. If more is required then it should be orderd from the website.
Our treatment consists of three processes, all of which are
required over a period of time (period depends on the size of the
infestation) to remove the infestation:-
1) Poison bait. Ideal for long term protection against new
colonies. (indefinite and on going 24/7 and if the ants persists the client needs to re-administer )
2) Pesticide dust. (works 24/7 or until it rains)
3) Insecticide spray.( lasts 3 - 4 weeks)
Based on the above information we can then schedule a call out. If
when we arrive, we cannot administer all three treatments (for whatever reason)
then the success of the treatment will be compromised, but the call
out fee will still be payable.
Terms Specific to Termites
Treatment
Our Service is to attend your premises, inspect the area that has been reported, and treat the
timber (Max of 2 - 3 door frames) with the intention of killing the active pest in that area and help prevent further damage from other termites in the vacinity. The treatment is applied to the existing wood in the doorframe, with the intention of protecting the wood from further attacks from termites, but is dependent on the remaining termites comming into contact with the chemical. In the case of wood that has been left so long that nearly all of the wood has been destroyed beyond repair, and all that remains is dirt and dust, the effectiveness of the treatment will be greatly reduced. The wood treatment is intended to treat wood and not dust and debris so the "soaking in" process into the debris will be hampered. However appropriate advice will be given at the time and should be followed,
Our Guarantee: In the case of door frames,
pergolas/car ports we provide a 5 year
guarantee. provided recommendations are followed and a follow up (chargeable) top up termite treatment is applied by us, no
later than 1 year from the date of the first treatment.
If wood is replaced by a third party, then it is important that the new wood is treated and a recipt confirming that is obtained.
In
the case of door frame treatments, our work will inevitably involve removing the architrave
to get to and inspect the door frame for damage, in all other cases removal of
the destroyed/infected wood will be required. It is understood that it is the
clients responsibility to make sure there is clear access to the area
to be treated/inspected. Any architrave removed or any other damaged
wood removed during the inspection/treatment should be replaced by the
client. Should it not be possible to easily remove the architrave then a
supplemental charge may be applied.
